CORNING - Rudolph Gustav Kjellen age 78 of Corning, died Saturday, May 20, 1995 at the Corning Hospital. He was born February 11, 1917 in Corning the son of Nils and Olga Hansen Kjellen. He married Eileen Totten May 10, 1952 in Corning. He served in the US Army Signal Corps during WWII and was a member of the Big Flats American Legion Post #1612 and the Corning Moose. He was retired from the Corning-Painted Post School District. He is survived by his wife; Eileen Kjellen, a daughter and son-in-law; Rhonda and Timothy Spencer of Corning, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother; William Kjellen and a sister; Hilda Brewster.
Friends may call at the Carpenter’s Funeral Home 14 E. Pulteney St. Monday 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Ron Hagy officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Cemetery Coopers Plains, New York. Those wishing may make memorial donations in Rudolph’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
