Rhue McFarland, of Burnside, a son of the late Luther and Lula Vaughan McFarland of Jamestown, died Sunday morning in Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, following an illness of 11 days. He was 55 years of age.

Mr. McFarland had lived in Burnside for several years, where he operated the Chub Minnow Farm.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Stigall McFarland, Burnside, three brothers, John, Cecil, and Carl McFarland, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Dennis.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 12, in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, Somerset, with Rev. Robert Guest officiating. Burial was in Elk Springs Cemetery, Monticello. Pulaski Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
