Albert H. Morgan

Albert H. Morgan, age 84, of Marion, N.C., passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
A native of McDowell County, Mr. Morgan was born February 11, 1926 and was a son of the late Edgar Morgan and Lettie Pyatt Morgan.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Nonive Gillespie Morgan, son, Albert Morgan, Jr. and daughter, Kim Morgan.
Mr. Morgan was a retired Project Superintendent for Grady Jordan, Inc. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WWII.
Surviving Mr. Morgan are two children: Jane Morgan of Marion and Linda Morgan Lewis and husband Gary of Old Fort; brother, Paul Morgan of Statesville; sister, Thelma Morgan Mitchell of Valdese; five grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Morgan, Ryan and Jeremy; two great grandchildren: Taylor and Spencer.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Jim Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the military.
