Sabin Gartin. Enlisted 3/3/1863 in Co. H 11th VT Inf. credited to Woodstock VT. Captured at the Weldon Railroad 6/23/1864. Survived Andersonville. Paroled 12/16/64. Mustered out 7/13/65. Died 6/16/85 on Ascutney Mountain as a result of blood loss from a wood cutting accident. Buried in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery at Windsor, Vermont. Joseph C. Ensight granted a minor's pension in 1890.
