Robyn Sue Collier Boyd 56, of Elbert, Colo. passed away on Sunday March 21, 2010 in Denver, Colo. with her family by her side. She was born on May 20, 1953 in Vernal, Utah to Helen Winters Collier and Wayne Collier she was the 4th of 6 children. Robyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Matt Collier, nephew Jason Collier and niece Cherry Lyn Jackson. She is survived by her husband David Boyd of Elbert, Colo., daughter Mysti Minshall of Aurora, Colo., son Joshua Collier of Elbert, Colo. Granddaughter Aliceson, sisters Linda (Scotty) Gross, Kathie (Brent) Jackson of Vernal, Utah and brothers Terry (Gayle) Collier of Dutch John, Utah and Coy Collier of Rock Springs, Wyo. Also many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.

Robyn was an amazing individual who loved unconditionally. You knew you could talk to her about anything and she would listen, offer advice, scold you if necessary, but always love you regardless. She was an amazing friend with an infectious laugh. She could always find good in everyone and did her best to lift and lighten others spirits. She was a true friend and stood by you in good times and bad.

Seems like Rob always had someone living with her-friend or family if you needed a place to stay for a night or a year, you were always welcome in her home. Robyn loved to crochet and made beautiful afghans-often sending them to family members on special occasions. She loved to garden and for the past year or so was very diligent in tending to her pretend Farm on Facebook.

She bottled apple and peach pie filling-in real life, and shared recipes with others via facebook. Rob loved her computer and kept in touch with family and friends on it, regularly sending emails and posting updates on most aspects of life-especially her "Ali". Robyn adored Ali, she was in her every thought, action, expression, and every breath Rob took.

Ali was truly the light and spark in her Grandma's eye, Rob's pride and joy. If Ali was happy grandma was happy! Friends and family, that's what Rob loved most. She lived, loved and lasted as long as she did no doubt because of her love for her family.

Rob loved and adored not only her precious granddaughter, but Dave, her husband and soul mate, and her two treasured children Mysti and Josh. There's nothing she wouldn't and didn't do for them. No request too small, no sacrifice too great. Robyn loved her brothers and sisters. They were close and loved to visit and looked out for one another. Rob tried to visit extended family whenever possible and was always good to keep up on new babies, weddings and everyday events in the lives of her large family.

Rob was a fighter and an optimist, always looking for the best in any situation. She was a hard worker and stood up for those she loved and what she believed in. Rob loved the outdoors. She loved her home and where she lived, no doubt in part because of the scenery. Robyn was a religious person, in her own way. She always knew things were in God's hands and things were the way they were suppose to be, whether we liked it or not.

She knew with conviction she would be with her family again. As we mourn her loss, she is enjoying a reunion with her Parents, Brother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Nephew and Niece. Her passing is bitter sweet. We will miss her dearly but know she is in a better place, free from the pains and limitations of her earthly body and we will be with her again.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Parker, Colo. Interment in the Vernal Memorial Park is pending.

God Saw You Getting Tired

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "come to me." You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best, And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain I could not wish you back To suffer that again.
