Born in Spokane, Washington, Jeanette was the eldest child of nine children born to Dennis and Agnes Feeney. When she was 5 years old the family moved to Bremerton. They lived there for 3 years and moved to West Seattle in in 1922. She attended school in West Seattle and was a member of Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle throughout her life.
She married Ethan Allen on July 3 1934 at Holy Rosy Church. They raised six children, five sons and a daughter. Jeanette worked for the Salvation Army.
A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Jeanette's life was held on May 31, 2001.
