Charley Jordon Dead.
Charley Jordon, son of Robert Jordon, while working in the Johnson Cotton gin last Friday got his right arm caught in a gin stand. It drew the whole arm in and sawed it into shreds. Drs. Watson Riley and Wade were immeditately called. The flow of blood was stopped and amputation took place. The relapse from the shock to his system was so great that he could not recover and died within a few hours. Burial took place Saturday. He was a good citizen, and many friends mourn his departure and extend their sympathies to his bereaved wife and child.
