Larry Joe Rose, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Rose, Jr. of 720 E. Grand, died today at 7:15 a.m. in St. Anthony's Hospital from injuries he received in a one-car accident Dec. 6.
Rose was injured along with three other Borger youths when the car they were riding in failed to negotiate a curve at the "Y" intersection of Highway 136 and 207. Also injured in the accident were Robert L. Dial, 1027 Elmore; Allen Leroy Doty, 101 S. Harvey; and Ronnie May, 201 Union. Dial and Doty were admitted to North Plains Hospital but have since been released and May was given emergency treatment following the accident then released.
Rose had been a resident of Borger for four years and was a senior at Borger High School. He was a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ in Wheeler.
Survivors include his parents, one brother, Markle; one sister, Marilyn; all of the home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Rose, Sr. of Ceevee, Tex.; and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. A.A. Rhodes of Childress.
The body is resting at Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
