Francis Patrick Convery, 84, of 3606 Villa Franca Avenue, Sarasota, Florida, died Saturday, September 5, 1992.

He was born February 27, 1908 in Butler, Pennsylvania, a son of Peter Francis Convery and Mary Margaret Lawless Convery.

He married Anna (Anne) Matilda Neff, May 12, 1932, St. Columba's Cathedral, Youngstown, Ohio.

He worked for the U. S. Postal Service for 30 years in Omaha, Nebraska, retiring in 1966. He moved to Sarasota from Omaha, Nebraska in 1983.

He was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota, Florida.

Besides his wife of 60 years, the former Anna Matilda Neff, he leaves two sons, Charles Francis (Mae) Convery of East Brunswick, New Jersey and Daniel Joseph (Barbara) Convery of Fresno, California; two daughters, Mary Patricia (Chuck) Bennett, of Sarasota, Florida and Kathleen Ann (Frank) Bogan of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, John Henry "Jack" (Kay) Convery of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Father in 1957 and his Mother in 1964; his sister, Sister Mary Agnes Convery of the Ursuline Community in 1991, and a granddaughter, Cristin Melanie Bogan in 1989.

Visitation was Wednesday, September 9, 1992, from 7-9 PM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Sarasota, Florida and the Vigil was Wednesday at 7 PM at Colonial Chapel. The Funeral Liturgy was Thursday, September 10, 1992, at 11 AM at St. Martha's Catholic Church. Burial was at Palms Memorial Park, Sarasota, Florida.
