His professional career included several years as a store manager for the JB's restaurant chain, as a shop steward and a shop foreman at the Dayton-Ogden Corporation and a warehouseman for Smiths Foods. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He was an excellent bowler and was very proud of achieving a 700 series. Larry loved his collectibles which consisted of dragons, specialty toys and Dallas Cowboy items. He really loved his music, but his true passion in life was loving, caring for and the raising of his youngest daughter, Keely (his little angel).
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; two daughters, Keely Ricketts of Ogden and Misty Tutt (Ryan) of Salt Lake City; three sons, Cody Christensen (Laura) of Ogden, Corey Ricketts (Carrie) of Ogden, Cody Ricketts (Maria) of Ogden; one sister, Patricia Hill (Jay) of Ogden; one brother, Lynn Ricketts of Ogden; 16 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bruce, Gary and Bobby; two sisters, Bonnie and Barbara.
The family would like to express their special thanks to Dr. David Goff for his special care and support and to Laura Lassen for her care and compassion during Larry's last days with us.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, August 19, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday with funerals services at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2007 at Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory, 1600 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
Internment will follow services at Uintah Cemetery.
