7/7/1918 W. Scott Samuel Claimed by Death (Sunday)
Dr. W. Scott Samuel, 59 years old, for years a leading pharmacist of this state, died suddenly yesterday morning in his apartment in the Madison hotel following a violent storke of paralysis. Doctor Samuel served many terms as director of the Oklahoma Pharmaceutical association. He was always active in public affairs. He was author of a number of essays on pharmacy. He was bitter against the quacks.
He is survived by his son, Dr. R.C. Samuel, and two daughters, Mrs. W.O. Messenger, of Moran, Kan., and Mrs. W.A. Lacey, of Pullman, Wash. Funeral arrangements are being made.

Funeral services for R.S. Samuel, who died Saturday, will be held at the Hahn funeral home this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. I. Frank Roach will preach the funeral sermon. The burial will be in Fairlawn.
