Jon D. Allen, 60, Mitchell, passed away at 12:34 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at his residence.
Born July 18, 1949, in Bedford, he was the son of Noble Winford "Speck" and Bertha Mary (Mann) Allen. He married Carolyn Marie Jackura April 29, 1978.
Jon retired from Crane Surface Warfare Center. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1967, and attended Northwood Institute. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and attended Bride of Christ Fellowship.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Burial will be in Hamer Cemetery at Spring Mill State Park with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
