G.L. Aynesworth had lived in Young County since 1881. He was a member of the Baptist Church, an old Confederate soldier, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He leaves a wife and five grown sons, two of whom are expected to arrive in time for the funeral.
George Levin Aynesworth and his wife, Sarah Ellen, pioneered the pristine period of Young County beginning in 1881. The couple was connected with the Aynesworth Community and Caseyville. Caseyville had the distinction of having the first ferry across the Brazos when the nearest bridge was at Waco. G.L. Aynesworth bought the first store erected by Mr. Casey. Aynesworth opened a blacksmith shop and enjoyed business on the river for many years. He moved to Graham to enter other business enterprises.
