BENSON -- Mrs. Rena Barefoot Denning, 89, of 300 S. Dunn St. died Saturday 2/12/2000 . Mrs. Denning was a homemaker. She was a member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Glenn McCullen. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Denning is survived by four daughters, Mae D. Norris and Sue D. Godwin, both of Benson, Marjorie D. Farrell of Raleigh and Marie D. Emmons of Durham; three sons, Dwight Denning and Don Denning, both of Benson, and Richard Denning of Hopewell, Va.; three brothers, Wilson Barefoot of Canton, Charlie Barefoot of Garner and Roland Barefoot of Four Oaks; a sister, Alma B. Pearson of Four Oaks; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
