She left her 3 children and husband, Willie Wood Hughes early on. I never knew why. Willie Wood Hughes raised their 3 children alone.

I miss seeing her silver Christmas Tree with that color wheel every Christmas.
at her house way back when she had the 704 Locust house. Christmas was SO SPECIAL at her house.

She cooked me fried okra and Black Eyed Peas EVERY time I visited her. I remember eating Del Monte ketchup on bread while she cooked wonderful huge meals. She was a GREAT COOK,

She took me in one time when everyone else turned their back on me. I will always love my Mother Frankie. We had a special bond and love for each other no one else seemed to acknowledge or care about. She walked out on her first 3 children and I never knew why... but she did NOT walk out on me.

Mother Frankie has a special love for my daughter Crystal. She hand made many lavender blankets, pillows and things for her. She did so many extra special things for Crystal.

Willie Wood and Frankie Lee had 4 children. Three children lived. One baby daughter died the day she was born.

She later married Ford Smith Jr. and they had 2 children together. She adored Ann and Gary. Frankie lived most her life in Merkel, Texas.
