Barbara Landry died at New London Hospital in New London, NH on July 12, 2000. She was born on June 19, 1922 in Claremont, NH; the daughter of Vernon and Dorothy (Kemp) Whitcomb.
She was a lifelong resident of Claremont, graduated from Stevens High School in 1940, and was the principal organizer of the school's class reunions and an active member of its alumni association. She worked at Kimball's Inc, Bush's Music Store, Putnam's Florist, and in the early 1990's, at Tolles Home. She was supervisor of the checklist for Ward 1 and worked at Red Cross Blood Drives. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and coffee groups.
She married Robert Landry on April 26, 1947 in Claremont who preceded her in death on March 2, 1986. She was also preceded in death by two daughters Joyce in 1970 and Virginia in 1963 and sister Elizabeth Wall in 1991.
Survivors include daughter Cynthia L Landry of Claremont and brother William F Whitcomb of Sandusky, OH.
Burial is in Union Cemetery.
