Ruth Nellie Farrington died at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH on January 30, 1995. She was born on January 14, 1909 in Sutton, MA; the daughter of Herman Emile and Nellie Geneva (Randall) Gerber.

She attended school in Claremont. She was a resident of the Claremont/Newport, NH area most of her life and moved to her home in Newport in 1955. She worked in the textile industry for many years and was employed by numerous woolen mills throughout New Hampshire, retiring from Dorr Woolen Mill in Guild, NH.

She married Frank Filiault on April 10, 1926 in Boston, MA but they later divorced.

She married John "Buck" Farrington on July 1, 1950 in Danbury, NH who preceded her in death in 1990.

Survivors include daughter June Ruth Lunderville of Antrim, NH; stepdaughter Jeanne Farrington of Newport, NH; and three sisters Alice Chase of Charlestown, NH, Grace Tallman of East Hartford, CT, and Edith Johnson of Windsor, VT.

Burial is in Union cemetery.
