Stevie was the 7th and last child born to William and Dorothy Boyer. Stevie was what you might call a "special needs" child. He did have a learning disabilaty, but he was in no way handicaped. He worked for over 13 years at the Harrisburg School District. He learned to drive a car and even bought his own, which he was quite proud of. And he was a die hard Hershey Bears Hockey fan. He held season tickets and rarely missed a game.
Unfortunately, Stevie died at the (much to young) age of 32, from cancer. He was preceded in death by his father William E. Boyer. His oldest brother William E. Boyer, Jr. and mother Dorothy June Boyer soon followed. Stevie is sadly missed by his surviving brother Michael, and his 4 sisters, Cindy, Annette ,Brenda and Janice.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning,
that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
