James Harold Ellis, lovingly known as "Jimmy" or "Jay" by his family and close friends, was born on September 13, 1970 in Charleston, South Carolina to Julie A. Seabrook Ellis and Elijah D. Ellis.
A 20-year resident of Columbus, Ohio, Jimmy previously spent many years living in Dayton where he was a member of Hebrew Pentecostal United House of God under the leadership of Pastor Harry Calloway. Jimmy the loved the Lord and his church. He never met a stranger. He also loved traveling and engaging others in conversation. An extremely giving person, Jimmy dedicated his life to helping others along the way, especially those he encountered during his extensive career as a nurses assistant and home healthcare aid. He successfully completed cosmetology school as well.
A beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle, James H. Ellis departed this life on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the age of 39. His father Elijah preceded him death.
