Alice B. Burke, 87, of Warsaw, died at 10:08 pm Wednesday March 18, 1998 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 6,1910, in Benton Township, Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel H and Ellen (Shook) Cline.
On July 29, 1929, she married Clyde Burke. He preceded her in death Nov, 15,1963.
She was a cook in several retaurants in Akron and cooked for the Barberton Elks Club for 10 years before retiring in 1975.
Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening.
Mrs. Burke is survived by three sons, Vernon L Burke and wife Billie of Woodsfield, Verle E. Burke and wife Mary of Shipshewana, Ind., and Robert D. Burke of Coshocton; four daughters, Mary Lee Munday of Creston, Clara E. Jones and husband John of Beallsville, Kay L. Pasmore and husband Roy and Janet S. Wolfe and husband Milton, all of Coshocton: 35 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; a sister Hilda Cline of Marietta and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dannie, on Oct. 14, 1967, a sister Mary Cline, four brothers, Walter, Miles, Clifton and infant boy Cline, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, March 21, 1998 at the Free Funeral Home, 788 S. Second St., with Dr. Kenneth E. Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm in Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron.
Friends may cdall from 5-8 pm today and until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
