Ms. Atkins was born March 11, 1925 in Austin.
Survivors include daughters Pat Lewis of Corsicana and Pam Pearson and Husband Johnnie of Mesquite; Ron Atkins of Goshen, Ind.; grandson Matt Morgan and wife Betty of Corsicana and Chad Morgan and Amy of Waxahachie; granddaughters Jennifer Colella of Dallas and Jayne Colella of Mesquite; six great grandchildren; brother Bill Whitis and wife Betty of Austin; and beloved pet Bryen II.
