Robert D. Storey, 70, died July 4 at Saner's Rest Haven in Sigourney, where he had been since November 1950.

Funeral was at the Gibson United Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon, with Service by the Rev. Ernest Smith of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Fred Crane and Mrs. Howard Neumann sang, with Mrs. Leslie Wilson as pianist. Burial was at Highland cemetery, What Cheer.

Casket bearers were John Graham, Joe Russe, Martin Schultz, Herman Wemer, George McKay and Sam McKain.

Mr. Storey was born Aug. 17, 1880 in Cambois, England and came to this county when he was one year old, spending the early part of his life at What Cheer. In the early 1900's he was married to Margaret McMullen of What Cheer, who died in 1918. They were the parents of one son, William Gerald Storey, who died in February 1946.

Surviving are one sister Jenny Bullock of Topeka, Kansas, one brother Will Storey of Fairmont, Minnesota, his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Storey of Gibson and several nieces and nephews.
