He was born May 12, 1932, in Santaquin, to David Roger and Hazel Bennett LeBaron.
Dad was a long term resident of Pleasant Grove and moved to Roosevelt in 2006. He grew up in Santaquin and was the seventh of eight children. He graduated from Payson High School and Utah Technical College where he learned his trade as a Machinist. He served a term of duty in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon returning home from the war, he met and fell in love with his wife, Dorthella L Erickson. They celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary earlier this year. They are the parents of five children.
Dad loved his profession and enjoyed his associates at work especially those he worked with during his many years of employment at Geneva Steel. He was a meticulous craftsman both on the job and in the home wood shop. His skillfully created furniture adorns nearly all of the homes for his family members and is made all the more dear by his passing. He wasn't a man of many words and avoided crowds whenever possible. He loved the written word and was seldom found without a book nearby. He never met a crossword puzzle that he didn't like! He was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He wasn't an outwardly religious man but had respect for others and for the beauty of God's nature. He loved hunting and fishing and the great outdoors.
Bill is survived by his wife, Dorthella, and children: Penny Clements, American Fork; Brad and Julie LeBaron, Roosevelt; Cindy and the late Richard Adams, Roosevelt; and Tammy Miller, Woodland Hills; 12 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, and soon to be three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael; his parents; 3 siblings: Clinton LeBaron, Lila Peterson, Arlene Heelis; and a son-in-law Richard Adams.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Monday at the Hullinger Mortuary in Roosevelt from 6-7:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the LDS Chapel on 5th North and 700 East in Pleasant Grove.
We love you Dad and we will miss you. You will never be forgotten.
