MARY ELIZABETH ZUENDEL
2-13-1866 – 12-19-1928

MISS Mary Elizabeth Zuendel, a lifelong resident of Kingsley Twp., passed away on Wed., Dec. 19, 1928, after a long illness from a complication of diseases.

She was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Anna Christina Zuendel, pioneer settlers of the German Hill district, and was born on the old homestead at Starr, Feb. 13, 1866, where she spent her entire life. She was a devout and faithful member of the Free Methodist church and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. During her life she took part in the affairs of the church and community and will be greatly missed by all. For 26 years she served faithfully and acceptably as the postmistress at Starr, until failing health compelled her to relinquish her work. Surviving her are two brothers, Henry of Starr and George of Kellettville.

Funeral services in her memory were held in the Evangelical church at Starr at 2:00 PM Friday, Dec. 21. The Rev. Zenas Miner of the Tionesta Free Methodist church officiating. Interment was made in the Zuendel cemetery. The pall bearers were Chester, Lester, Glenn, Walter and Howard Zuendel and Curtis Dickrager.
