Ruby Young Gabel, age 84, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 24, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Gabel, mother, father, step father, 5 sisters and one grand daughter. She is survived by her children Gary (Louise) Gabel, Angela (Tommy) Hamm, Charlotte (Marlin) Lewis, Susan (Norman) Malone, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, siblings Inez Bolen, Bobby Middleton, Norman Middleton, Kenny Middleton, Ricky Middleton, other family and many friends. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 12 noon at Crawford Baptist Church 3000 Sun Valley Dr. Mobile, AL 36618 with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. William Kleinschrodt, Odyssey Hospice and caregivers Pat McBride and Stella Bassett. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Crawford Baptist Church and Mission of Hope at 14970 Mission Rd. Mobile, AL in her name.
