Loving husband to Amanda "Jeanette" Mills Holtzclaw.

Father to David Allen Holtzclaw, Charlotte Holtzclaw, Joanne Holtzclaw, Eddie Wayne Holtzclaw, Debra Inez Jones-McRorey, Marletta Lee Holtzclaw-Dalton and Mary Elizabeth Holtzclaw.

Grandchildren: Joe DeWayne, Jr. "Bo", Paul Allen and Sean Lee McRorey; Brandi Louise and Leslie Ann Hill; Lisa Holtzclaw, Tammy Holtzclaw,and Eddie Wayne Holtzclaw, JR.; Crysta Makenzie Rodgers and Matthew "Blake" Mitchell.

Great-grandchildren are still on the grow: Alex Holtzclaw, Aron Scott, Shane Avery and Kara Rene McRorey; Ariel Sierra and Skylar Nichol McRorey; Allen Jason McRorey; William Michael; Brittany, Jamie, Little David, Whittany, Grant and Abigail Lee.

We love and miss him so very much.

His parents: Edgar Edward Holtzclaw and Nora Alice Beaver Holtzclaw Copeland (Both deceased).

He's brother to: Billy Joe Holtzclaw, Edna Holtzclaw, George Richard Holtzclaw and Rosie Geneva Holtzclaw Hunt (all deceased).

He also served in the Army Air Corp during the Korean War as a combat B-29 pilot with a Field Service Commission, Second Lietenant.

Allen Holtzclaw

Services for Allen J. Holtzclaw, 70, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday at W.W. Rix Chapel with Bill Gibson officiating.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

He died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at his residence.

He was born July 14, 1928, in Sudan. He married Jeanette Mills on March 30, 1956. He graduated from Sudan High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1946 to 1949 where he received a field commission and flew sorties over the Korean theater. He moved to Lubbock in 1955 and retired in 1994 from Eddins-Walcher Co. after 24 years of employment.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Debbie McRorey, Marty Holtzclaw and Mary Mitchell, all of Lubbock, Charlotte Massey of Brownwood, Joan Molett of Merced, Calif.; two sons, David and Wayne, both of Merced; a sister, Geneva Hunt of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

I am so fortunate to have had this wonderful man in my life, and "He Didn't Have To Be." He gave love to all of us and never ever showed favoratism. He loved "all" of his children with all of his heart and soul.
