TULIA - Audie Mae Cagle Mitchell, 93, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery of Tulia by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Mrs. Mitchell was born July 3, 1909, to A.D. and Maude Mae Clark Mills in McKinney. At age 7, her mother died leaving her and her dad to care for her three younger sisters.

She attended school in Plainview. She married James Marlin Cagle on Sept. 4, 1925. They had two children, James Richard and Lynda Mae. Marlin died Oct. 11, 1972, and Richard died Nov. 6, 1997.

She was devoted to her husband and loved her children and grandchildren greatly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tulia for 70 years and had lived in Canadian for the last two years.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Cloyd and husband, Jim, of Canadian; five grandchildren, Richard and Melissa Cloyd, Susan and Rick Day, Jay and Jonna Cloyd, Rick and Leslie Cagle and Kent and Vicki Cagle; and seven great-grandchildren, Steven Cagle, Nikki Cagle, Grayson Cloyd, Makenzie Cloyd, Jed Day, Jake Day and James Cason Cagle.

Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Tulia.

The family suggests memorials be to Abraham Memorial Home or to Rose Hill Cemetery of Tulia.
