ELKTON, Md. -- James Everett DeBusk, 77, died Monday, Jan. 29,
2001, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del.
He was a native of Glade Spring, Va., and had lived in Maryland most
of his life. He was the son of the late Issac and Susan Widener
DeBusk. Mr. DeBusk owned Jim's Diesel Service in Elkton. He enjoyed
fishing and listening to country and western music.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lena L. Doles DeBusk; two
daughters, Kathryn L. DeBusk of Columbia, S.C., and Leska L. DeBusk
of Davenport, Fla.; three sons, James A. DeBusk of Atlanta, Ga.; two
stepsons, Chester J. Doles and Charles G. Doles, both of Dahlanga,
Ga.; two sisters, Flora Carey of Newark, Del., and Martha Blevins of
Glade Spring; one brother, Burton DeBusk of North East, Md.; 19
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday, Feb. 2, 2001,
in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Damascus with Rev. Roger
Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery in Glade
Spring, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Chesapeake Chapter, Downs Syndrome Congress, c//o Hicks Home
for Funerals, 103 West Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921. The family
will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Friday prior to the funeral
service at Johnson Funeral Home.
