FRONTENAC -- Bessie Marie LeGrand, 93, of 413 S. Dittman, Frontenac, died at 12:10 p.m., Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at the Medicalodge South Nursing Home of Pittsburg, where she had been a patient for three days. She had been in ill health for one year.
She was born July 5, 1906, at Elizabeth Town, Ill., to Chester G. and Mira Bell Jackson Baldwin.
She had been a Frontenac resident most of her life.
She married John LeGrand on July 20, 1929, at Perry, Okla. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1980.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle, at Pittsburg.
Survivors include a son, Jack H. LeGrand, of 4097 Mt. Carmel Rd., Frontenac; a daughter, Sue J. Delmaz, of St. Charles, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, with the Rev. Daryl Gaddy, and the Rev. Danny Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery at Pittsburg. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home.
