REV. DR. THOMAS JEFFERSON JEHOIDA HOWARD was born in 1831 in Franklin County, Tennessee.

His parents are reflected in the 1830 census as newly-married about 1828/1829 (noting that marriages for Franklin County, Tennessee do not exist until 1838).

He settled in Pine Hill, Texas in Rusk County after serving as a surgeon for the Confederate States of America (CSA).

REV. DR. THOMAS JEFFERSON JEHOIDA HOWARD was also a Methodist minister, and a Justice of the Peace for Rusk County. Further, he practiced medicine in Pine Hill from 1868 until 1889.
