Thomas E. Scott, 43, of 2479 Lagonda Ave.,died recently in Community Hospital following an year of failing health. A grinder for O. S. Kelly Co.
He was born in Johnson County on March 26, 1938, a son of Hebern and Mary Blair Scott, and had resided in the Springfield area for the past 25 years, where he attended International Pentecostal Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mallie Irene Litteral Scott; four daughters, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Brooks of South Charleston, Mrs. Tipton (Sharon) Brooks of Springfield, Susan and Lisa Scott, both at home; two sons, Mark and Thomas E. Jr., both at home; a step daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Cheryl) Raines of South Charleston,and a stepson,Steve A. Fife of Springfield.Also six sisters,Mrs. Bernie(Hazel)Jackson of Stockbridge,MI,Mrs. Raymond(Joe)Hannah,Mrs.Kathleen Litteral,Mrs. Chester(Patty)Blanton,all of Swamp Branch,Mrs. Kenneth (Cledith) Hannah of South Solon,and Mrs. Curtis (Cleo) May, Jr.,of Springfield,two brothers,Buck of Swamp Branch and Bob of Springfield, and seven grandchildren.

Services were held in International Pentecostal Church of Christ by the Rev. Cecil McCarty, with burial in Ferncliff Cemetery.
