George Dwight Bement was the son of Reuben Bement, Jr. and Miriam Owen.

On 3 November, 1845, in Sandusky County, Ohio, George married Margaret Jane Huss.

George joined his brothers in the operation of their foundry at Fostoria, Ohio. His term of usefulness was but short, being cut off with his untimely death, while on a business trip to Vermillion, Ohio to secure the necessary raw material for the iron plant.

George and Margaret had children: Dwight Reuben and Hortense Mary.


He is buried in Section A. There is no stone to mark his burial plot.
