Gale Larimore married Irene Williams 17 Jan. 1935 at the Jacksonville Courthouse in Jackson Co., OR.

Former Grants Pass resident Gale Larimore, 81, of Troutdale [Oregon] died Saturday, Aug. 20, 1994, at Mt. Hood Medial Center in Gresham [Oregon].

Cremation rites have been held. Interment will be at Sparlin Cemetery in Williams [Oregon] at a later date.

He was born April 12, 1913, in Williams to Jasper Newton Larimore, an early pioneer of Williams, and Verda Gibson, a William native and member of the Applegate Valley Gibson family. In 1933 he met Irene Williams at a dance at the Fruitdale Grange, and they were married Jan. 17, 1935, in Medford [Oregon].

Larimore worked at various jobs from farming to attending gas statons during the Depression. He worked in the lumbeer uindustry in the laste 1930s and in 1941 moved to Klamath Falls, where he jouined the Lorenz Co. in 1945.

In 1956 he transferred to Burney, Calif. and worked as a purchasing agent for the new Lorenz Lumber Mill until his retirement in 1977. Upion retirement he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the Unted States and Canada.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Gary Larimore of Anchorage, Alaska, and Lanny D. Larimore of Troutdale, and one grandchild, [Lanny G.]
