Fred E. Veber, Jr., 72, of Stafford Rd., died Tuesday, July 15th, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Mary C. (Kennedy) Veber; five sons, Mark Veber and his wife Pamela of Palmer, Paul Veber and his wife Laura of Chicopee, Todd Veber and his companion Shellia Will of Lawrence, KS, Glen Veber and his wife Lourdes of Southbridge and Gary Veber and his wife Patricia of Woodstock, CT; his parents, Fred E. and Irene (Kadelski) Veber of Holland; a brother, David Veber and his wife Beverly of Thomson, GA; 16 grandchildren, Rebecca Veber, Amanda Veber, Shawn Veber, Tonya Veber, Danielle Veber, Nicholas D. Veber, Kristin Veber, Justin Veber, Jessie Veber, Jenna Veber, Alexander Veber, Sarah Veber, Jacob Veber, Amanda Bottone, Jennifer Barnardo and Nicholas M. Veber; a great granddaughter, Liliana Bottone; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Fred was a printer for Paquette's Stationary in Southbridge for 28 years and later worked at Kanzaki in Ware for 10 years before retiring. He loved playing cards especially cribbage and skat. He enjoyed working in his yard and photography. He enjoyed traveling especially his trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. He also enjoyed spending time at the Holland Senior Center. His greatest enjoyment and love was his family and his many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th, at 10:00am in Holland Cemetery, Holland. Calling hours in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, will be held on Friday, July 18th from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
