Irma Mae (Thornburg) Cheesman, 77, died July 10, 1995,
in Fort Worth, Tarrant county, Texas, of a stroke.
Irma was born June 28, 1918, in Fort Worth, Texas, the
daughter of Willard Fremont Thornburg and Mary Jane Sexton. Her Thornburg ancestry had been traced by professional genealogists to King Edgar 'The Peaceful,' King of England from A.D. 959 thru 975, and Queen Aelfthryth.
Irma's maternal Sexton lineage has been traced by expert genealogists to Stephen Sexton of mid 16th Century Limerick, Ireland, the grandson of Denis Sexton II of England.
She married Charles Eugene Cheesman (1907-1983), FEB 4th, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas.
She is survived by two sons, David R. Cheesman (wife Kathleen) of Arlington Heights, IL; and Roger Dale Cheesman of Fort Worth; Daughter, Naomi Ruth Cheesman Brackett of Haltom City, Texas. Four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Private crematory services were held.
