The funeral services of Marshall Blanchard were held at the M.E. church in Illinois City at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6. Mr. Blanchard was killed when he was run down by a freight train near Wyoming Hill in Iowa. He had just left the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maggie Stull, on Monday. For the past year he had lived with his brothers, Frank and Alec. He was buried in the City cemetery. The rest of his children were not able to attend the funeral as they live in Oregon and California.
