Robert G. Dedering, 73, of Kiel, died Saturday morning, March 13, 2010 at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee.

He was born October 30, 1936 in Kiel, son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Mueller) Dedering.

Bob attended SS Peter and Paul Catholic School and was a 1956 graduate of Kiel High School.

On June 30, 1962 he married the former Charlotte Dorn at St. Ann Catholic Church.

For 37 years, Bob was a dedicated employee of Tecumseh Products in New Holstein.

He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kiel, he enjoyed volunteering at local nursing homes and community centers playing his Stump Fiddle or music for the residents. He was also a Boy Scout leader for many years. In his free time, Bob enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping or working in the shed. He took great pride and joy in handcrafting stump fiddles that people ordered from him. He also enjoyed playing cards, socializing and would bring treats to all his nurses and doctors to enjoy when he had appointments.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Kiel; his son, Dean Dedering of Beaver Dam; step-sisters, Marie (Arno) Kienbaum, Sylvia Anhalt, Barbara (John) Schwind, Delores (Tony) Kauth all of Kiel, Diane (Tom) Twohig of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Bob) Wier of TX, Elsie Arnold of Kiel; step-brothers, Rudy (Barbara) Wendling, Jerome (Janet) Wendling both of Kiel; a step-brother-in-law, LeRoy Breit of Kiel. Bob is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy (Joe) Heimerl of New Holstein, JoAnne Wenzel of Brillion, Donna (Don) Jacques of Fond du Lac, Janice (Bob) Mand of Malone, Sue (Lyle) Pitzen of Kiel, Joe (Linda) Dorn of New Holstein, Debbie Dorn of Brillion. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette; a sister, Lois Dedering; a brother, Richard Mueller; his step-mother, Elsie Wendling; step-brother, Glenroy (Elaine) Wendling; step-sisters, Jeanette (Jack) Graf, Georgianna Breit; step-brothers-in-law, Speed Anhalt, Allen Arnold, mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Appolonia Dorn.

The funeral mass for Bob will be celebrated March 19, 2010 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church Kiel with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS and Parish Director Joe Zenk officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
