Age 89, died Friday at home in Hot Springs AR; born in Mineral Springs AR to Dr and Mrs Thomas Jefferson Holcombe; graduated Nashville HS and composed the Alma Mater; authored four books of poetry.
Predeceased by parents, sister Grace Holcombe, daughter Rebecca Ball Worthington, and husbands: W Hayden Ball and Dr Thomas G Johnston.
Survivors include daughter Diane Ball Williams, son Joe Holcombe (Pam) Ball II, sister in law Frances Holcombe, Glenn (Trisha) Johnston, Marcella Johnston, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service to follow cremation, with reception following, April 3.
