Son of Ward Brangs and Etta Burtt Brangs.

Husband of Kathryn Deborah Brangs who at one time lived at 704 Jackson St., Wilmington, DE.

Arthur served as a Machinist's Mate, 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was from Wilmington, Delaware and was "Killed In Action" during the War in Palermo, Sicily while serving on the U.S.S. Shubrick, a D.D. 639. He was awarded a Purple Heart.

He, and many others, were buried in the temporary American cemetery at Palermo in plot-grave A-2-34, date of burial was the following day. After the war his remains were repatriated and buried in this cemetery.
