HARRY J GALLOWAY was born 1 Mar 1881 in Aurora, Marion County, Oregon, the fourth of eleven children. His parents came west from Iowa to Oregon about 1878. They were near Molalla in Clackamas County, Oregon in 1880.

Harry first married Lula Josephine Wagner in 1904 in Montesano, Washington. They had two daughters, Etta and Edith Galloway, before Josie died in 1908 at age 22 while pregnant with their third child.

Harry lived alone in rural Pacific county, Washington in April 1910 and remarried Mrs. Susan Johnson on 1 March 1917 in Chehalis. Harry and Susan were divorced in Montesano on 15 February 1919.

Harry loved horses and had a perfectly matched pair. He took the horses and a wagon out for snow rides, picking up children along the way.

Harry married a third time on 9 October 1926 to Josie Miller. Harry and Josie adopted a son they named Frank Galloway ca 1934.

Harry was killed by his bull in 1948 at his farm west of Elma.
