WAYNESBORO – Mrs. Arcian Garland Willis, 68, died Wednesday (June 23, 1965) at 8:45 p.m. while being admitted to the Waynesboro Community Hospital.
Mrs. Willis was born Dec. 26, 1896 in Nelson County, the daughter of Joseph Shelton and Daisy Thompson Marshall.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Willis; one son, John W. Willis; one brother, George Marshall of Charlottesville, and two sisters, Mrs. Maury Truslow and Mrs. Maggie Puckett, both of Nellysford. Also surviving is one grandson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Wintergreen Christian Church at two p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Paul Coleman.
The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until 12:15 Friday. Burial will be in the Wintergreen Cemetery.
