Mary D Curtis 2nd was born on March 22, 1866, in Missouri to Sparta and Margaret Turnbull Curtis. She married John William Treat in 1881. They had ten named children: Vina Anna Treat Iness Harding McWilliams, James Marvin, Loy, Homer, Troy, Albert B, OKla Elizabeth Treat Patterson, Mary Eula Treat Baker (do not find a connection to Cora Baker Reece), Johnson Dock, John Edward Treat.

In 1880, 14-year-old Mary lives with her parents and six siblings in Locust Grove, Arkansas. She is attending school and can read and write. The 1900 census lists Mary, John and 6 children living in Bear Creek, Arkansas. Mary has had 9 children and 7 are living. The 1910 census lists Mary as a widow living with her family in Bear Creek, Arkansas. They are farmers and living in her mortgage free home.

Great Aunt Mary passed on December 30, 1920, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 54, and is resting in the Cypert Cemetery. William is in the Marshall Cemetery.
