From Henry Baker's "History of Montville, Connecticut 1640-1896," p. 130:
"Stanton, son of Robert Fargo and Prudence Stanton, m. Fanny Comstock, dau. of Elisha Comstock. He was a farmer and occupied the old Fargo homestead in Montville. His wife fell into the fire and was severely burned, causing her death."
