A life-long Elyria resident, Mr. Block was a 1935 graduate of Elyria High School. He attended Fenn College in Cleveland and served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Block was a retired employee of Republic Steel in Elyria, and a member of the Elyria Senior Fellowship.
His wife, Betty E., survives him. A sister, Viola Krugman, and brother, Wilfred, preceded him in death.
