Mrs. Tarlton was born in Carrol County, Ky., on July 25, 1865. She was united in marriage October 10, 1885, to the late E.F. (Ras) Tarlton, who passed away Jan. 14, 1936. To this union was born nine children, four of whom preceeded her in death. The family moved to this city from Mead County, Ky., 39 years ago and have lived here since.
Mrs. Tarlton has been a member of the Baptist Church since she was 13 years old and was an active attendant at church as long as her health would permit.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Georgia Phillips, Mrs. Bob Faris and Miss Irene Tarlton of this city, and Mrs. Lila King of Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Ed Tarlton of Deering; two brothers, Willie Rice of this city and Ed Rice, who lives in Kansas. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Little Prairie cemetery with LaForge in charge.
