Martin was the son of James White and Sally Allen born 17 Dec 1803 (according to the James Fletcher White's Bible)**note that it doesn't match the 1802 death year on his headstone. He was born near Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He married Kiturah "Kitty" Ann Fletcher in 1820. Martin died 21 Apr 1862.
