Nettie Patterson, daughter born in Missouri to Ames Clark and mother was an Armstrong, both born in Missouri, aged 48 years and 19 days, died June 25, 1926 in Jackson Township, Montgomery County, Iowa of Mitral stenosis, J. Clark Cooper, M. D., burial June 29, 1926 in Villisca Cemetery, Wolfe Funeral Home

Mrs. Edward A. Patterson, who had resided in Villisca thirty three years, died Friday night at 11:30 o'clock from heart trouble with which she had been suffering for several years. Her condition was made worse recently when the Patterson home was struck by lightning shocking her nerves beyond her endurance.
Nettie E. Clark was born at Bigelow, Missouri, June 3, 1878 and was 48 years old at her death. She moved with her parents to Auburn, Nebraska where they resided for a few years and from there they moved to Mound City, Missouri, where the daughters spent their girlhood days. She was married there to Edward A. Patterson of Villisca, Iowa, May 2, 1898 and during the summer of that year they moved to Villisca where they have since resided.
To this union was born four children, one of whom died in infancy. Those who with the husband survive are Mrs. C. M. Dunn of Red Oak and Albert A. and Paul H. of Villisca.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Methodist Church, which she joined in 1893 and the Degree of Honor Lodge. Besides her husband and children, she leaves also her mother, Mrs. Cris Nelder Hauser, her sister, Mrs. Hattie WeNstou, two brothers, Ed and Frank, all of Mound City, Missouri and two grandchildren of Red Oak.
The funeral was held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the home, with Rev. Geo. A. Lawton in charge of the service. The singing was by Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Davis, and the pall bearers were Harold Warne, Austin Childs, Harley Chickering, Carl Lindell, Elmer Lindberg, and George Carmichael. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
Those from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and MRs. C. M. Dunn and two children of Red Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clark, Mr. and MRs. Frank Weston, Mrs. Cris Nieder Hauser, and Fred Clark of Mound City, Missouri.
