Sadie Nichols died at Claremont General Hospital in Claremont, NH on June 2, 1969. She was born on November 30, 1888 in Lempster, NH; the daughter of Winfield and Mary (Smith) Lombard.

She was a graduate of Richards High School in Newport, NH in the class of 1909. She had lived in Lempster, NH and had lived in Charlestown since 1920. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Claremont, Sugar River Grange in North Charlestown, NH, the Charlestown Home Demonstration Club, and Charlestown Garden Club. For many years, she was active in 4-H work.

She married Orson Nichols on November 23, 1919 in East Stratford, NH who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by children Everett, Doris, and Natalie.

The family includes son Herbert Nichols of Charlestown; five daughters Norma Chisholf of North Hampton, NH, Vera LaClair of Claremont, NH, Thelma Ferland of Claremont, NH, Lillian Royce of Acworth, NH, and Marion Forest of Hurleyville, NY; eighteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Burial is in Mtn View Cemetery.
