Etta Dana died at the Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity, NH on May 8, 1976 after a short illness. She was born on September 14, 1889 in Bridgewater, VT; the daughter of Frank and Effie (Royce) Fairbanks.

She had been a resident of Claremont for many years. She was employed for over twenty years as a licensed practical nurse at the Sullivan County Nursing Home, retiring in 1962. She was a member of the North Charlestown Methodist Church and the North Charlestown Grange.

She married Warren Lewis on March 11, 1908 in Lebanon, NH but they later divorced.

She married Milton Dana on November 23, 1936 in Claremont but he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by son Gerald Lewis.

Surviving are two stepsons Paul Dana of Weathersfield, VT and Elmer Dana of Springfield, VT; two stepdaughters Pauline Wilkins of Chepachet, RI and Eloise Sanderson of Brownsville, VT; fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother Dewey Fairbanks of Woodstock, VT; and sister Emily Severance of White River Jct, VT.

Burial is in Mtn View Cemetery.
