Gladys Lillian Brockney died in the Holiday House Nursing Home in Saint Albans, VT on July 11, 1999 where she had been a resident for the past four years. She was born on December 14, 1901 in Marlboro, MA; the daughter of Eli and Emma (Sargent) Bourdon.

She married SSGT Walter Ernest Brockney on December 14, 1919 in Marlborough, MA who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Gold Star Wives of America and a strong supporter of the Democrat Party. In her earlier years, she was a hair dressers and bookkeeper.

Survivors include her sister in law Rose Bourdon of Marlboro, MA and several nieces and nephews.

Burial is in Mtn View Cemetery.
